Proverbs 27 really reminded me of all the Godly friendships I have! These are not just friendships that come and go, but these are friendships that last.
v.6 "Wounds from a sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy."
They are honest at all times, even when it hurts.
v.9 "The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense."
A friend is there for you to help and listen.
v.10 "Never abandon a friend-..."
They are always there for you, when everyone else is gone, you can always count on a true friend.
v. 17 "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend."
These friends make me a better person and Christian!
What an awesome reminder to be so thankful for our friends. Thank you for putting up with me, for listening to me, for correcting me, for holding me accountable and for encouraging me. Most of all, thank you for being a true Godly friend!

I think that this Proverb has 3 parts, but I'm going to go out of order.
1. The first couple verses talk about boasting. GOD says not to boast about yourself. Not to say, "Oooo! Look what I got! I am so great!" But to let others say things about you.
1 1/2. v.4, "Anger is cruel and fury is overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?" Is this verse saying that even though anger and fury can be horrible, jealosy is even worse? What does It mean when It says," who can stand before jealosy"?
2. At the end, this Proverb says to take care of what you have
v.23. Your work will pay off.
3. Don't forsake your friends! A true friend will encourage you and will be there for you whenever and wherever you really need them. GOD is my Real and True Friend. And GOD will give me a true friend if it is in His Will. I may already have one!
I also really like verse 19, "As water reflects a face, so one man's heart reflects the man." What does your heart reflect?
Pray to GOD. Ask Him to help you not to be boastful, to take care of what you have (even games, family, and school notebooks!), and to know that even if you don't yet have an earthly true friend, you will ALWAYS have Him!
