Time is a Trainer

As I was doing my devotion this morning, I was reminded that God is in control all the time for all the right reasons. Sometimes He makes us wait to train us towards the following:

Obedience

Reliance

To find strength in Him

To get over ourself

Peace

God does not want our focus to be on worry, but on Him. Instead of worry, we need to look towards opportunity. Instead of stress, we need to focus on the glorious things He will do for the situation.

I want to control things so much, that I don't give God the time to do what He wants to do. I know I can not control God, but it is so hard at times to fully understand that He is always in control over all circumstances!

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

Just Another Year?

What will 2010 bring to you? Most expect something different but get the same old thing. We can't expect anything new without doing anything new.

What adventure is God calling you to? I spoke to two different friends over the past couple of days. They both had dreams, different dreams, but new and incredible dreams. These dreams were not man inspired, but totally God inspired!

My prayer for this year is that we will be God inspired. Inspired to do something new, something risky, even something crazy that only God could provoke us to do!

I have spent the past few days working on out calendar for 2010. We are doing a lot of new and God inspired things. New adventures and new ideas. God has already begun to trim our branches and stop the things we don't need to do and I pray He will continue to guide us this entire year.

God needs new ideas, new people, new risk takers and people ready for a new adventure. Satan is ready to slow us down and attack (Matthew 11:12), dull us and bore us...Pray it up and be ready for the YEAR!
