Very simply...GET WISDOM!
If you do not have wisdom, get wisdom. Read God's Word and apply it to your life. Do what every it takes to acquire and apply God's wisdom.
We all have several paths in life we can take. That is part of the freedom that God gives us all. We can choose to follow evil and wickedness or we can follow Christ and righteousness. It is not easy, it takes sacrifice and commitment, but through God's grace, love and strength, we can all stay on the path that God wants for our life...His Will for our life!
I was reminded again how God is the great physician, Jehovah-rapha (God who heals). God wants to heal and cleans us completely, from our:
ears: v20
heart: v23
mouth:v24
eyes: v25
feet: v26-27
Wisdom affects the whole person from the inside out. Did you notice that the Proverb said nothing about the mind? "Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life."
It all starts with the HEART!

Listen to the advice of parents and elders. The wisdom you can gain from their advice can lead you on the straight path. It is *the* safe path. Stay away from the wicked and God's wisdom with benefit your life and protect you!
