Dr. Lew and Revival.

Have you ever wondered what Revival is all about?  I think there are so many connotations with Revival; bad, backwards, old, outdated.  It is almost sad to think that so many are missing the message for this week.
What is even more sad is that the message is for the people within the church that are not committed!  I know we all are so busy and have so many things to do, but should we not continue to put Christ and His bride (the church) FIRST?
What keeps us from being committed?
school?
homework?
studying?
projects?
work?
laziness?
tired?
sickness?
girlfriends?
boyfriends?
tv?
Are any of these above good enough reasons to make Christ second?
The focus for this week has been LORDSHIP.  Jesus is LORD, the boss.  Is He in your life?  Do you let Him lead or do you want to be in control?  Really, who has the better answers for your life?  Who has the best wisdom and way for you to live.
So, is God your LORD or is He something else?  Maybe He is your savior, but not Lord...is that really possible?  Maybe He is your guide, leader or co-pilot as long as it is what you want or desire.  Maybe He is your tradition because it is the way you have been raised and you have always been in church.
Don't let this world get in the way of your LORD.

New Web Site

The new site is up and working.  Have you found it yet?  I know some have already found it, but keep looking!
I will be making updates and changes to it over the next few days and finally switch it back to www.nsym.org very soon!

Prayer Night

Wow, what an encouraging and wonderful night of prayer.  It is truly awesome to see how God can do some amazing things through prayer.  We might not be able to see everything, but you could see how hearts and minds were touched.

I would challenge you to be at church when we have another night of Prayer.  Trust me, it will be sooner than later!

Edwards Bounds (Great Theological Writer) said the following, "Without prayer, a church is like a body without spirit; it is a dead, inanimate thing.  A church with prayer in it, has God in it. When prayer is set aside, God is outlawed.  When prayer becomes an unfamiliar exercise, then God Himself is a stranger there.  As God's house is a house of prayer, the Divine intention is that people should leave their homes and go to meet Him in His own house. The building is set apart for prayer especially, and as God has made special promise to meet His people there, it is their duty to go there, and for that specific end. Prayer should be the chief attraction for all spiritually minded church-goers.
